Government projects

New Horizons

This project explainer video for the $40 million New Horizons project was delivered on behalf of the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) by Ali Atkinson in her capacity as Senior Marketing and Communications Consultant for PIRSA Rural Solutions, a commercial consulting division of the department.

This sub-soil modification program was a Commonwealth-funded, state-delivered project designed to improve the productivity of South Australian soils.

Ali Atkinson developed the overall marketing, communication and engagement plan for the project. This video was one element of that plan. Ali wrote and produced it to create an effective communication tool to explain specific aspects of the program to stakeholder groups including South Australian grain producers, local, state and Commonwealth government agencies, foreign delegates, academics and the broader community.

Pike Floodplain

The $155 million project was a South Australian Riverland Floodplains Integrated Infrastructure Program (SARFIIP) funded by the Murray-Darling Basin Commission. The project was delivered by the Department of Water, Environment and Natural Resources (DEWNR) to improve the health and resilience of River Murray floodplains.

Ali Atkinson was contracted by DEWNR as a consultant to write, produce and deliver this video that would be used to explain the project and specific works at Margaret Dowling Creek that were going to create a temporary disruption to the local community's enjoyment of Bert Dix Park.

It involved working with DEWNR project officers and other stakeholders, script writing and messaging, storyboarding and managing through to final production.

Commercial Photography

Short Sharp & Shiny were engaged by Wolfie’s Records, a hip vintage vinyl record store, to help invigorate and grow their Facebook page and enhance their visual branding through commercial photography.

We developed new high-quality, shareable content, increased demand for products and in-store events, advised on marketing strategy, developed a social media plan, and captured a library of images for use in social media and advertising campaigns. This project included providing training and assistance to the client in the use of social media.

Rowe Partners

This is a favourite shot from a combined video and photo shoot for Rowe Partners accountants in South Australia.

Patrick Connolly, a partner of the firm is pictured here (in the hat) with Rodney Hunt, one of his many farming clients around Port Pirie on a farm visit.

Golden sunsets are typical of this beautiful farming region.
