AIMSA business lunch with Westpac Bank’s Gail Kelly

Tasked with the responsibility of increasing professional membership of the Australian Institute of Management's South Australian division, and delivering professional development opportunities for corporate and professional C level execs and managers, Ali led a small team to attract in excess of 700 people to this luncheon at the Adelaide Conventions Centre. This was no small feat, especially given the event was held in the midst of the GFC and was commanding a high ticket price. The event was a significant fundraiser for AIMSA at a time when revenue from training and development was low and the organisation was under increasing financial pressure.

Ali developed the product and sponsorship offering, and secured major sponsors and media partners. She liaised with venues on all aspects of the function, managed all event branding, marketing, registrations and budgets. She managed media relationships and had the important task of speaker liaison with Gail Kelly. Ali worked closely with the Westpac and AIMSA Executive and staff to deliver an exceptional and notable function on the South Australian business calendar.
